The company is a world leader in power engineering consultancy, providing a wide range of energy-related services to both public and private sector clients. It provides advice to decision makers on matters as diverse as long-term energy plans; tariff studies; energy economics; feasibility studies for new projects; regulatory reform; and valuations, mergers and acquisitions. The rapidly growing Power Generation Division is now seeking to appoint a number of key roles.
The Project Managers and Project Development Engineers will have a broad understanding of power plant configurations and of independent power and / or power & water plant development including conceptual design, specification and tendering sufficient to drive projects from initial idea to financial close.
Knowledge of large thermal plant and / or CCGT design and operation required, and an understanding of the commercial structure of IPP's/ IWPP's, including project contracts / agreements desirable.
They offer variety and challenge to enable experienced and capable Project Managers and Development Engineers to broaden and develop their careers.
Requirements:
The successful candidates must be Chartered or Degree Qualified, or equivalent.
You must also have proven understanding of a selection of the following:
• Lead project teams to assist Clients in the development of new power plants.
• Tasks will include conceptual design, site selection studies, due diligence studies on existing power plants, pre-contract negotiations, performance modelling, feasibility studies, specifications, tender evaluation, consent applications, and inputs to financial models, technical reports and project contract documents.
• Working in liaison with Financial and Legal advisers may be required
• Delegate tasks to supporting discipline engineers
