Project Director - Design/Engineering/Construction

Our client, a Dubai based international real estate developer, is looking for experienced Projects Management professionals to join their Middle East, North Africa or Asia teams. Candidates who originate from the following countries will only be considered - UAE, Oman, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Turkey, Vietnam & China. Ideally, the candidate should have experience of overall project design across multiple discipline infrastructure projects.


Incumbent duties include:
Liaise with Clients and their representatives
General understanding of all design disciplines and role of each within the team
Application of consultancy agreement terms and conditions to ensure design team deliverables
Evaluate quality of services provided
Provide support to the Construction Management team during the construction phase of the project with design related and prime contract issues
Set work plans and programmes
To be able to coordinate the design team and their actions to achieve required deliverables within the programme and budget constraints to set quality management standards
To have understanding of budgets and to control design team to work within those budgets
To be able to manage weekly and monthly reporting to the client and internally including cost control management
Required to deliver completed project successfully

Essential Requirements:
Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering
Minimum of 5 years experience within a management role
Strong design, construction, engineering experience of infrastructure projects
Experienced in meeting Clients

Necessary Skills / Attributes:
Strong Character and personality, a Leader
Thorough knowledge of design and construction process
First hand experience of the project type, or very similar project, for which he will be Project Director/Manager
Ability to chair and effectively manage meetings
Ability to manage a team and to work within a team framework
Ability to think laterally
Excellent Communication Skills
