PROJECT DIRECTOR

We are working with one of the leading waste management services companies in the UK to recruit a new Bid Director for their New Projects team.

Following on from a range of significant project successes they are now looking to continue to grow and exploit the UK waste marketplace more extensively.

To succeed in this role you will need experience of leading bidding consortia and working as either the number one or number two on waste bids ideally within the PFI / PPP marketplace. Previous experience of the waste sector is expected to operate effectively as a bid leader.

In the role as Bid Leader you will need first class commercial skills and have a wide ranging business and legal awareness. You will need a thorough understanding of how local government operates and how to work within the political frameworks of these organisations.

Key tasks will include the project management of the bid submissions, engaging and management of key advisors and the overall risk management of the whole bidding process. Essentially you will be acting as an ambassador for our client in the marketplace.

This is a significant role and will report to the UK Development Director offering a wide ranging and autonomous position working across the UK.
