Project Director - Professional Services - Banking

Project Director Professional Services Banking - Pakistan Global Delivery Account Manager, PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, Core Banking, Treasury, Capital Markets, Systems Integration, and Onshore-Offshore Model. We are looking for a Project Director to work for a Tier 1 Banking & Financial Services solutions provider on a project which to-date, has proven to be extremely complex from both a technical and business perspective. One of the problems has been a lack of leadership, especially with respect to the ownership of the customer relationship. We are looking to identify someone who is familiar with Pakistan customs, culture, ways of working and someone who is able to communicate fluently in Urdu with the external customer and English internally with our client. This is a large project, with regional and therefore global strategic importance and as the Project Director, your main responsibility will be to the external customer. You will therefore be responsible to manage all commercial aspects of the delivery from the relationship with the customer at all levels (Director / Executive, Business Unit Leader, Technical, User and Administrative), the project financials, controls, business benefit and return on investment, reporting and also to oversea the design, configuration, development, testing and build of the product. We are not looking to identify a technical manager, but someone who will deliver a technology solution (core banking product), manage the commercial relationships, coordinate the different facets of the build of the solution and drive through a successful solution. The Project Director takes the leadership in project planning, defining project deliverables, resourcing, progress reporting, troubleshooting, the continuing maintenance of good customer relations and the Project Director will represent my client at the Customers' Steering Committee Meetings and participate in all decisions related to priorities, budgets and any other event affecting the rollout of the project. We are looking for a Programme Manager who will act as the onsite representative, managing the external relationship and overseeing/coordinating the activities of all the different facets associated with the successful delivery solutions design - development & configuration system build test pilot implementation rollout Go-Live. This role will suit a commercially astute Programme Manager who has experience delivering technical solutions, but whose focus is not technology orientated. Our client is looking for a candidate who has greater expertise in Banking than IT, as the role will see you managing the delivery of a software product, but managing all the different business components required for a successful implementation and Go-Live. The team will be based in different locations and as such, you will need to have experience managing the delivery of international banking & transformation projects.
