Project Manager - Engineering

Recently opened an office in Lagos, Nigeria & looking for a Project Manager – Engineering.

Responsible for planning management & coordination of all activities in a project lifecycle, incl detailed design, project management, control & execution of design projects, construction, installation & commissioning associated with oil & gas facilities for the Company’s work program.

Capable of determining the organizational structure required to accomplish the assigned projects efficiently & in accordance with approved plans & schedules. You must be capable of working in a team & will report to the Company’s Staff Engineer – Technical Services or their designate.

You will ensure that:

• Projects are performed in accordance with the terms & conditions in the relevant
contract documents

• Adequate guidance & leadership are provided to the design/construction & planning
personnel in the development of the project plan

• Reports on the administration of all aspects of the projects are prepared on time &
correctly

• Progress schedules are routinely reviewed & updated as necessary

• Cost & schedule control are maintained for the projects by reviewing actual costs & accomplishments compared to the budget & project plans, & instituting remedial measures when required

A Registered Professional Engineer (or non-USA equiv) & have a Degree in an Engineering discipline.

Extensive experience in design & construction of onshore & offshore oil & gas production facilities with overseas experience in the areas of process / mechanical, piping, structural, electrical & instrumentation engineering as it relates to onshore & offshore oil & gas production facilities.

Thorough knowledge of all aspects of project management incl scope, resource, cost, quality, communications, risk & procurement management.

You should have experience as a Project Manager in at least 3 projects of at least $15M total value.

Also familiar with codes, standards, regulations & practices applicable to design & construction of Onshore & Offshore production facilities in the US (e.g. API, ASME, ANSI, AGA, ISA, etc.). Thorough knowledge of these codes as well as design guidelines required.

Need a Drivers Licence & good Microsoft Office skills.

Contracts awarded up to max 3 years. Salaries negotiable depending on experience & skill set. Ex-Pats package available, it is envisaged leave rota will be 8 weeks on & 2 weeks off.
