Project Manager: Logistics Distribution - Up to £90,000 plus Car, Pension, Healthcare, Bonus, Mobile and Laptop, based in London.
Overview
Major Distribution organisation requires an experienced Project Manager to oversee a team of 30 to deliver a major change project. This position reports to the Programme Manager and is responsible for the implementation of several standardised processes, tools and methodologies to support the project and programme management activity. The Project Manager is also responsible to manage the day to day relationship with support functions required to deliver the project
The Role
The candidate will actively manage the overall project and report the status to the Programme Manager, who has primary responsibility for the day-to-day management, ensuring that all responsibilities of the stream leads are carried out.

- Actively monitoring scope.
- Working closely with business functions to understand project change implications and facilitating implementation
- Developing and delivering effective presentations.
- Skilfully facilitating meeting.
- Communicating clearly to the team and keep appropriate business functions, programme managers and project team informed.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have proven experience of managing projects of over £30 million in which they would have lead teams in dynamic environments and have experience of managing large size projects and their components, ideally in a distribution based environment.
- Knowledge Intimate and deep knowledge of processes, tools and techniques to deploy complex projects and knowledge of distribution / mail operations (or similar dispersed network utility / service organisations).
- Strong experience in programme management tools and techniques including Prince 2 or alternative project management methodologies.
- An ability to manage activities and budgets related to relationships with multiple key stakeholders, to develop and utilise appropriate measurement tools to evaluate the ongoing progress and effectiveness of each stream.
