Project Manager

An international contractor is currently looking for a Project Manager to be based in the West Sussex region. The company have over 100 years of past experience, have won many industry awards and are considered a world class contractor.

The position is permanent and you will be reporting to the Projects Director; you will also be responsible for a Construction Manager, Commercial Managers, Design Coordinator and an Agent.

Your main core responsibilities will include but not be limited to; setting up and running necessary safety committees, ensuring the client and external body is satisfied with the construction process and end product, ensuring the project is on or ahead of programme at all times, able to identify a suitable structure and key personnel to administer the project, clearly communicate responsibilities and project objectives to site staff, and monitor all staff administration issues such as timekeeping, performance, working hours, holidays and training etc.

To apply for this role you must have a construction related degree, relevant professional qualification i.e. MCIOB, CEng, MICE or equivalent and experience of running £15m+ projects. You will also be competent in overseeing design construction and commercial activities, have strong planning and sub contract management skills and be capable of running you own team.
