Quality Manager – West Sussex – US multinational electronic components manufacturer – attractive base and benefits
Client: A global leader in its technical field, this US multinational are predominantly a design, manufacturing, and distribution organisation, functions: R&D, marketing, sales, production, engineering, materials, quality, and support teams.
Role: Quality Manager – A leadership role to ensure the integrity of the company's quality system and processes.
Responsibilities:
· Developing and maintaining the company's quality management system in line with business needs, and ISO9001 regulations
· Continually drive process improvement activities in all areas of the business
· Maintaining product quality integrity, throughout the product lifecycle
· Validating new products from Engineering prior to launch
· Measuring and monitoring customer satisfaction levels
· Generating and analysing key performance metrics
· Identification and correction of highlighted quality issues
· Preparing quality reports
· Customer product returns improvement
· Supplier quality assurance
· Calibration system
Person - higher weighting more important:
10 – Degree or equivalent in Quality Assurance
10 – Extensive experience in Quality Assurance management in electronics based design and manufacture
10 – Experience of working within an ISO9001 framework
10 - In-depth knowledge of quality and industrial standards
10 – Experience in development and maintenance of quality management systems
10 – Proven ability in driving process improvement activities and projects
10 – Experience in developing, measuring and monitoring KPIs
10 – Knowledge and application of lean thinking methods , tools and techniques
10 – Ability to manage a budget of £250K
10 – Self motivated, with strong analytical skills
10 – Team management experience - coaching, leading and developing
10 – Excellent level of communication skills, written , verbal and presentation
10 – Proficient in all Microsoft Office packages
9 – Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred, Green Belt level acceptable
9 – Experience in validating new products prior to launch
8 – IQA or IET membership desirable
8 – Knowledge of SAP within manufacturing environment preferred
8 – Additional European languages would be an advantage
