RECRUITMENT COUNTRY MANAGER / DIRECTOR – HONG KONG

Established multi-national Search & Selection consultancy specialising in a range of sectors to include Investment & Private Banking, Financial Services, Technology & Legal recruitment seeks an experienced senior Manager already in the local recruitment market to head their Hong Kong operation. This isn’t a role for a manager who wants to sit and preside over an empire but for a hands-on manager who can work both ‘on’ & ‘in’ the business. 60% of their business is retained search so would help if you understand that methodology as well as the region. The company have had a presence in the region for a decade and this office has been established for 3 years, as the business has developed it has become evident that it needs someone to take it to the next level . . . . . . . could that be you ? ? ? ?
This senior role entails all aspects of heading a whole business function.
Reporting remotely to the Singapore based MD you will be expected to . . . . .
Operate with full P&L responsibility
Manage the current teams (compromising of high billing, mature, experienced recruiters who don’t need micro-managing)
Increase headcount (by circa 10 additional staff) and get involved in the delivery of a training programme.
Client facing (all senior manager regardless of location or level are hands-on in terms of strengthening client relationships.
Utilise your commercial awareness, strong business acumen and creative abilities in developing ideas from which the local and Asia Pac business can grow.
Work across all markets and assist all divisional staff in the development of their business (but not execute or deliver unless you want to)

1. Management within the Recruitment industry experience is the first must have
2. A creative thinker and do’er with plenty of initiative and commercial awareness – an entrepreneur who is able to build upon a high performance business using your experience of running & developing a business.
3. MUST be local and already working in Hong Kong/ Far East (candidates outside of that region will NOT be considered until all local possibilities have been explored).
4. Understand the cultural differences of running a HK based business
5. Ideally you will come from a boutique style, quality driven operation as opposed to a large, high volume transactional business
6. Understanding / experience of a range of professional markets
7. A stable, steadily progressive career with founded reasons for changing roles
8. Successful proven track record
9. Able to win over & gain respect of local businesses by having a personal presence & respectful of cultural variances
10. Must have energy, passion, drive & determination
