Regional Head - Major Projects

Our client is looking for an experienced senior executive to build and manage a small distributed team of professionals across EMEA capable of working on select, complex opportunities from inception through to implementation.
You will work with the sales and project management organisation to manage the implementation of high profile engagements.
This role will be a demanding and multi-faceted one and you will be expected to:
• Lead the building and implementation of a complex solutions delivery capability from a purpose, process, people, tools & measurement perspective
• Be involved in the Post Sales phase through contract negotiation and service level agreement to solution delivery implementation and the provision of ongoing service solutions for additional customer requirements
• Take personal accountability for taking on existing and new Executive client relationships
• Ensure the delivery of complex solutions, in parallel with building a dedicated team and the infrastructure and environment necessary to ensure ongoing success
• Build great teams and translate your knowledge into process based transactional delivery to enable the provision of complex solutions that become a business as usual activity
• Act as the primary point of contact and escalation for Executive level customers with the direct aim of helping to shape their thinking in relation to how solutions are provided and how you can meet their existing and future business needs
• Work with the sales and pre sales teams to understand where opportunities lie to upsell in designated accounts
• Take the lead in building relationships with key accounts whilst in parallel mentoring the team to follow ‘best practice’
• Manage a small cross Country team of Senior Project Directors
The ideal candidate will:
• Be an experienced Manager capable of building and running an expert team as well as building cross functional and virtual teams to support a project.
• Have delivered very large programmes and projects across multiple product and solution set offerings from ‘cradle to grave’
• Have experience of running large complex programmes of work and successfully overcoming cross functional delivery challenges within the organisation in order to delight the customer
• Have a willingness to roll up your sleeves post sale and an ability to design, implement and deliver new processes within the company in order that successful solutions can be delivered in a timely fashion
• Be able to hit the ground running; be a ‘hands on’ individual and deliver on your promises
• Experience leading and negotiating contracts to a successful close
You will have experienced operational delivery at all business levels but latterly as either a programme/service delivery director/CTO/CIO or consultancy equivalent as well as having been in a leading role in Post Sales professional services and solutions at an Executive level.
