My client’s a global supplier of end-to-end wireless solutions for wireless communications networks. They design, manufacture and market antennas, boosters, combiners, filters, repeaters, multi-carrier RF power amplifiers, tower-mounted amplifiers and advanced coverage solutions, all for use in cellular, PCS and 3G networks throughout the world.
Description:
This position has primary responsibility for driving sales of network equipment in Russia and CIS. The position contains a large element of developing new business from local tier 1/2 network operators (MTS, Beeline etc). This will be done by understanding client needs and develop proposals to cater for these needs. To maximize output, it will be important to work closely with the internal product unit team that will provide solutions engineering, opportunity research, marketing support, product and solutions strategy. The position will require extensive travel within region to work with existing partners and distributors as well as establish new market channels where need be. Setting up, supporting and driving new channel partners will be a key element to success.
The Regional Sales Manager is expected to work in a team oriented, cooperative manner to achieve my client’s market share, growth and profitability objectives at the territory level.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Identify, address and develop new opportunities for sales of coverage solutions and services in a geographic region
* Understand customer requirements in targeted operators/carriers and wireless OEMs.
* Support and develop existing sales channels in combination with developing new or alternative market channels where need be.
* Engage and work with the Product Unit Global Wireless Equipment team to meet common objectives
* Create a framework in a complex market with many opportunities to address based on which new business development can be achieved.
* Develop & strengthen market share, revenue, and sales growth within assigned geography.
* Achieve sales goals while maintaining overall company objectives such as profit margin and forecast accuracy objectives (annually and quarterly).
* Monitor competitive activity and provide feedback to management.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum Bachelor of Arts or Science in Business, Marketing or Engineering.
* 5 years working in the telecommunications industry.
* Previous sales experience is preferred.
* Proven ability in sales and business development in the telecommunications industry.
* Knowledge and experience in Business Development
* An existing network of decision-makers within Central European OEMs and operators
* Understanding of different sales channel models as well as selling directly to end customer
* Understanding of and ability to use financial / business models to develop solutions and services sales rather than pure product sell
