Channel Marketing Manager - Glasgow - Technology product manufacturer, attractive base, bonus, and excellent benefits

ROLE - Channel Marketing Manager - reporting to the Director, Worldwide Marketing and responsibility for developing and implementing go-to-market strategies, plans and programs.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Drive the development of the strategic go-to-market plan for the brands sold through retail in EMEA. This includes working with sales and product marketing to align region, country and account priorities along with marketing budgets to support these priorities.
- Develop channel marketing strategies and account specific marketing plans by managing both direct marketing and channel MDF funds. Consult with sales and targeted to accounts to get company presence into partner stores in terms of assortment, merchandising, and collateral.
- Collaborate with Sales to develop and manage scheduled activities, promotions, and brand opportunities per negotiated placement and use of channel marketing vehicles. Control content and messaging through channel partners to ensure maximum effectiveness and branding consistency.
- Maintain relationships through ongoing contact with our partners' marketing and buying personnel. Work to identify the best marketing methods and tactics for increasing product sell-thru and brand exposure. Visit key accounts on a regular basis for strategic and promotional planning.
- Help coordinate, plan, and participate in channel sales training and tradeshow events.
- Develop and implement channel incentive and promotional programs.
- Conduct store audits to determine ongoing marketing opportunities and to analyze changes in the competitive landscape.
- Plan and negotiate partner launch marketing campaigns for new products and programs.
- Identify and oversee the development of localized marketing deliverables including marketing/sales programs, sales tools, collateral, training, and promotional materials needed for increased brand exposure and revenue.
- Manage a staff of 3-5 people, external merchandising and collateral agencies, and regional marketing budget to deliver results within approved resources.

PERSON SPEC :

- Extensive experience in retail channel marketing for technology products
- Business Development or equivalent experience in the retail channel
- Experience of working with both manufacturers & distributors
- The ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal relationship skills
- Strategic planning experience and good business acumen.
- Proven track record in working effectively with sales and channel partners
- Strong analytical skills
- Self starter with a strong desire to succeed
- Team player, resourceful and autonomous
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and presentation
- BA in Business /Marketing or equivalent
- Experience in leading and managing a Marketing team
