Power Amplifier Engineer RF/Microwave Engineer - Power Amplifier Development
This exciting Leeds based start-up, developing and delivering technology into
the Wireless industry and other power amplifier markets are seeking a highly
motivated RF Engineer to join their team of Engineers.
Candidate Profile:
•Good Degree in an Engineering Subject.
•A good theoretical grounding in RF design with practical
implementation skills is essential.
•Experience of high power single ended and/or balanced linear
RF amplifier designs (frequency range 1 – 12GHz).
•Thorough understanding of low impedance matching techniques using
transmission lines.
•Experience of modelling or analysis using RF linear and non-linear
simulation tools e.g. MWO, ADS, Matlab, MathCAD.
•Knowledge of gain/efficiency/linearity design trade-offs and design
optimisation techniques.
•Working knowledge of Physical Layer parameters of modern CDMA and
OFDM based communications standards.
•Knowledge of load pull techniques and efficiency enhancement
techniques such as Doherty amplifiers would be advantageous.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Role Involvement:
The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development and
testing of high powered RF power amplifiers based on linearised technology.
You will be confident using your theoretical understanding of RF design by
practical implementation.
This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced RF Engineer to utilise their academic experience to work on the very latest Power Amplifier Technology development.
