Risk & Compliance Manager – IT Risk & Controls (ACA / CPA) – The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Information Risk, the Risk & Compliance Manager will be responsible for the management, coaching and development of three direct reports.
•Provide IT controls expertise and communication to Senior Commercial Management and IS Management teams.
•Engage with Senior Management to set; agree the approach and scope for new IT control frameworks as well as embedding ownership for existing control frameworks.
•Quantify the group's risk appetite related to the IT Controls environment.
•Develop and assure against a defined, risk-based Compliance Framework (in conjunction with members of the Information Risk Management team).
•Plan, coordinate and perform assurance on the Group's decentralised IT Control environment (including Information Security).
•Provide updates to Senior Executives (and committees) on developments within Governance Forums.
•Prepare and develop management reporting for key Business and Group stakeholders on overall IS Risk and Compliance.
•Manage the external relationships with major suppliers to the team (leading Stakeholder Management).
Risk & Compliance Manager – IT Risk & Controls (ACA / CPA) – The Person:
•Proven track record of success within a Top 10 external audit firm would be ideal (with ACA or CPA qualification).
•Critical to this candidate's success will be a track record of leading, coaching, mentoring and taking real ownership of a team.
•Demonstrable successes in setting “world-class” controls; experience of SOX; working on Business Risk; and a full understanding of an IS function within a large corporate Blue Chip business.
•Full understanding and successful experience of Stakeholder Management within a complex Blue Chip business.
•Outstanding communication style (verbal and written) and excellent inter-personal and influencing skills (working with Senior Management of a Top 30 FTSE 100 company).
•Driven to exceed our expectations; ability to work with a complex multi-country business; and a track record of creating Best Practice is also essential.
•Track record of leading, influencing and managing Change within a complex work environment.
We are seeking an ambitious ACA / CPA and/or CISA who can clearly demonstrate success within an audit function in their career to date.
