The role
Reporting into board level, the sales & marketing director will be a key member of the strategic management team. The role will be responsible for leading the UK sales and marketing function, to deliver significant growth across all channels. There will be a requirement for candidates to work at both a strategic and operational level with a personal as well as volume targets
to achieve within national accounts.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
Deliver and lead the commercial strategy, ensuring a major focus on growth
Achieve bothpersonal and team sales targets, with responsibility for selling into national accounts and buying groups
Responsible for the marketing function, including brand management, delivery of marketing collateral, product mix, pricing and distribution.
Identify and evaluate market opportunities
Lead, coach and develop the sales team.
Achieve annual revenue,volume and profit plan.
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal systems, including CRM system and recommend improvements / developments.

Selling into national accounts with experience in both account management and new
business development.
Demonstrable experience setting and implementing a growth focused commercial strategy.
Managing, motivating and leading sales teams through periods of significant growth.
Marketing experience including branding and product positioning.
Entrepreneurial outlook with a flexible, solution orientated approach
Proven track record in building new business across the UK, ideally selling into National accounts and buying groups in the retail sector.
