Sales Director - Sponsorship

Our client is a long-established market leading provider of conferences to the Telecoms sector. With strong client loyalty and a global brand, they maintain a growing portfolio of International B2B events of all sizes.

This is a new position which will bring together our client’s four business development managers under one leader for the first time. The purpose of the role is to support these managers and drive the business forward in line with the Managing Director’s ambitious plans. The Sales Director will be responsible for all events in the portfolio. He or she will decide how events and clients are served across the division, and what structure is required to deliver the impressive sponsorship revenues. It is expected that the Sales Director will sell a significant proportion of this revenue, primarily to key clients. The Sales Director will form part of the senior management team along with the department heads and the MD.

The successful candidate must have strong proven commercial acumen and be an excellent motivator with well-tuned leadership skills. Experience of selling high value, international events to sponsors is preferred, but sales professionals with a superb track record from other disciplines will be considered. The successful candidate will have a mature and driven personality
