Sales Director - Unified Communications
Berkshire - South East, South Central / Coast, Thames Valley
Our client is a global leader in the manufacture of enterprise unified communications systems. Solutions include voice, video and IP convergence technologies and due to consistent growth, this exciting company are looking to recruit an experienced Head of Major Accounts UK & Ireland to work with the Vice President Sales for the successful execution of the UK & Ireland major accounts strategy.
The role can be home-based with the UK Head Office located on the M4 Corridor. You will be responsible for directly managing a team of Major Account Managers as well as directing matrix resources within the UK & Ireland in specific functional areas such as strategic alliances, global accounts and specialist products/solutions.
You will have responsibility for managing a team of 12 Major Account Managers currently at £30m in revenues. You will be require to build the team and increase revenues. Working closely with the VP UK & Ireland, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a major account sales strategy covering all aspects of the company's commercial activities for voice, video and IP communications solutions sales, across all verticals.
You will:
- Have successfully built a substantial UK sales team and demonstrated success in driving double-digit year-on-year growth.
- Be highly experienced in managing a multiple level sales organisation with direct responsibility for Major Account Managers.
- Have experience of direct and indirect sales management including Direct or High Touch models.
- Be experienced quota carrying, direct selling of technology solutions with a sales cycle of 6 to 9 months and big ticket deal values to major customers.
- Possess demonstrated success in attaining quotas and growing territories.
Must have competencies include:
- Ability to make use of an extensive network of contacts within the business community.
- Commercial acumen and business management skills, with a good understanding of discounting and margin practices.
- Convergence or Networking background with a good knowledge of IP Communications including voice and video.
- Structured selling techniques which span the entire sales life cycle.
- Sales focused, growth oriented, track record of meeting sales targets.
- Ability to maximize involvement of other parts of the company, fostering a team environment.
- A business professional, at home with talking to, and influencing, senior decision makers.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
