This early stage company has been formed by a highly experienced, entrepreneurial team. They have developed a software product that will have a dramatic impact on how company pensions are managed and administered. The product beta programme has been a resounding success and they are now set to scale the sales effort during the course of 2010.
The product is potentially industry changing and in today’s climate, it is likely to be a ‘must have’ purchase. There are no directly competitive solutions in the market and the product is addressing a widely acknowledged pain point for businesses.
They wish to hire an exceptional new business sales executive to take this product to market. They need to hire someone with a very strong intellect and the capability to assist with market development activities as well as direct sales.
The product is a high value sale typically to CFO or Head of Risk & Compliance at FTSE 250 companies.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the creation of sales and marketing collateral.
• Develop the key sales messages.
• Identify early prospective customers.
• Build a sales plan for the assigned territory.
• Own the full sales cycle and remain involved post-sale to ensure customer becomes referenceable.
• Assist with defining and documenting the sales process.
• Win early sales and use this experience to build a replicable sales process.
Background and Skills Required:
• Must have a strong academic background – a good degree from a top university is preferred.
• Strong numerate abilities combined with well developed communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Industry sector knowledge of the Pensions, Finance, Banking or Risk and Compliance industry.
• Track record of selling to CFO, Pension Trustees or heads of Risk and Compliance.
• Hands-on experience of high value software product sales.
• Able to manage long, complex sales cycles.
• Knowledge of software licensing and commercial issues.
• Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Experience of sales campaign and account planning.
• Self starter capable of working relatively autonomously.
• High energy, multi tasking – a natural evangelist.
You must be a UK / EU National or already be resident in the UK and have a current Work Permit.
Qualifying Questions:
1. Have you experience of selling high value software or complex services to CFO’s, Heads of Risk and compliance etc?
2. Have you a track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets?
3. Do you have a good degree from a high quality university?
4. Are you numerate and comfortable understanding and selling complex finance based products?
