SALES MANAGER FRANCE
We seek a dynamic, ambitious Sales manager with fluency in French to lead the French business for an expanding supplier of Luxury and Retail Brand Packaging.
You will be a Blue Chip trained Sales professional with a strong and demonstrable track record of achievement within FMCG, Luxury/Designer Products or Packaging.
JOB PURPOSE:
The role of the Sales manager in France is to manage new and existing accounts to maximise earnings and profitability whilst overseeing the administration of the office. To develop relationships both with our supplier base and sister offices in Italy, Switzerland and the UK to maximise business potential in France.
PRINCIPAL TASKS OF JOB:
• Maintaining and developing existing customer database with the support of a small sales team in France
• Review & develop a strategic plan for growth for the business in France
• Develop strong relationships with our customers, ensuring that our customer value proposition is in line with their requirements identifying any product gaps or opportunities to sell additional products or services to our customers
• Develop a detailed understanding of the retail packaging sectors in which the business currently operates – principally cosmetics, jewellery, fashion and identify opportunities for growth & expansion
• Continuously collect up to date data on the competition in each segment of the customer base, including prices, innovations, terms of contracts, etc.
• Offer leadership to the administrative team in place in France overseeing a robust internal process for delivery of product to customer’s to optimise efficiencies
• Identify opportunities to develop new product in the market place to work with the purchasing & marketing teams in the UK Head office to enhance our product offering
• To prepare & submit a monthly commentary on the results for the business together with a review of the financial data
• To review and agree financial forecasts, budgets and three year plan results
• Oversee marketing and promotional activities as appropriate with support from the marketing team in the UK
Experience/Knowledge
• Sales experience within FMCG, Packaging, or Retail Design
• Proven success in managing & growing customer accounts
• Highly Brand aware, appreciate the importance of brand to customers
• Fluent in French – written/oral
• Ability to motivate a team
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent presentation & negotiation skills
• Presentable, confident, outgoing and instinctive
