Our client are a leading defence organisation who design, develop and manufacture critical technology for network centric and intelligence operations, enabling information to be moved around and managed on the digital battlefield.
The company is also the world leader in advanced tactical military vehicle intercom systems and soldier and ground vehicle situation awareness products, with more than 115,000 systems fielded with 18 armies around the World.
Due to the continued success of the business a new Sales Manager is required for identifying, developing, winning and maintaining business with end users and system integrators in the defence sector.
The position is based in the North East with some international travel.
The Sales Manager for will manage the on going business relationship with key strategic customers within the UK and overseas and continue to win product and services business.
The Sales Manager will be actively developing new opportunities. The targets will span all identified sales stages of opportunities and the focus will be breaking into international systems market and managing this account to win at least 1 major opportunity within a medium to long term cycle.
The successful candidate will have a solid track record of success in international defence sales. Knowledge of the sale of communication products, systems, network or service management is also required.
Preferably the Sales Manager will have proven relationships with useful contacts at decision levels within various verticals, as well as good appreciation of the technology arena.
