Sales & Marketing Director

This not for profit organisation manages health-based gardening projects and is looking to increase their fundraising and direct marketing. They need a Sales & Marketing Director who will Plan, develop and coordinate their sales and marketing function - developing and implementing a successful sales and marketing strategy and monitoring sales and marketing activity against goals.

This is a great role for someone who comes from a senior commercial background and would like to move into a not for profit role.

This role will involve:
- Planning, directing and coordinating sales, marketing and communication function to deliver income budgets for the charity
- Overseeing the implementation of marketing activities to deliver income targets as well as researching and developing strategies and plans which identify new or enhanced marketing opportunities
- Analysing and evaluating the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results on an ongoing basis
- Developing and managing sales and marketing budgets, and overseeing the development and management of internal operating budgets
- Representing the charity at various community, charitable and/or business meetings
- Managing small direct and indirect teams

For this position they are looking for an individual with experience in strategic planning and execution and a knowledge of contracting and negotiating. You will also need experience in planning marketing strategies and successful public relations efforts and should be able to demonstrate a successful sales and marketing track record gained in the commercial sector. You will be action focused with the ability to learn quickly and apply lateral thinking. Full below the line knowledge needed - e-marketing and direct mail. An active interest in gardening would be desirable.
