Our client, a leading supplier of plastic photochromic prescription lenses with manufacturing operations throughout the world is looking to recruit a General Manager (EMEA).
As General Manager, you will develop and execute strategic plans to ensure profitable growth of the business in Europe, Middle East and Africa. You will lead, direct and develop the EMEA Business to ensure the optimum utilization of the resources necessary to achieve the profit plan. Specifically, you will provide leadership and direction to commercial-marketing, and operations organizations ensuring alignment and execution of principal business objectives.
Who we're looking for
To succeed in the role of SBU General Manager you need a wide range of skills/experiences:
o Undergraduate degree in optometry or business required.
o Seasoned broad business knowledge with a primary focus on sales, marketing & customer relationships.
o Experience of managing businesses in international markets.
o In-depth knowledge of EMEA photochromic optical market essential
o Strong leadership/coaching skills.
o Ability to develop strong business relationships with third parties and fulfill an ambassadorial role for the company.
o Fluent English is essential
o Available to travel extensively in EMEA
o Experience in optical field is essential
