Senior Account Manager – Public Sector Division
Manchester OR Birmingham - Midlands (East), North West
Objective of Role:
Selling IT infrastructure services and solutions, including ‘outcome’ based professional service projects, managed services, hosting services and a range of technical solutions to the Public Sector market. Target sub-verticals are Health, Police, Local Government, Central Government and Higher Education.
Person Profile:
Experience Required.
A suitably qualified individual is likely to have
5+ years Sales and Account Management experience in the IT Services Market. Not necessarily Public Sector Background, but a strong ‘cultural’ fit (eg professional, considered, market-aware, detailed) is more important than an out-and-out “relationship” salesperson
Used to owning multiple 3-9 month, £1m-£10m campaigns personally (rather than part of a team that worked on a 2-year, £500m campaign)
Demonstrable Contractual Services (eg small outcome-based managed service, site-resource based support service, application management service etc) or project-based services (eg datacentre consolidation/migration/virtualisation projects, UC/VOIP implementation, desktop transformation etc)
Credible technology and services knowledge and can articulate this well whilst communicating effectively with the client up to CIO level.
The ability to develop new clients from a cold start
The ability to work effectively with the in-house solution experts in defining the right proposition for a specific clients needs.
The ability to manage the entire deal lifecycle from inception to delivery start and commercial close
The ability to adapt style to customer requirements
