Senior Audit Manager

McGinnis Loy Finance is working with a entrepreneurial accountancy practice who are looking to appoint two Senior Audit Managers. They are looking to recruit a specialist Manager with experience of Financial Service clients, and a Generalist Audit Manager for other business sectors. Key duties include:

Financial Services Snr Audit Manager – London (to £85,000)

• Providing audit and other compliance services for FSA regulated clients
• Develop technical expertise regarding FSA clients particularly relating to audit, accounting and tax compliance.
• Assist in business development alongside principals to build the portfolio of FSA clients to a £2m business
• Develop a strong working knowledge on FSA Compliance, regulation and administration.
• Assist clients, Partners and Managers to ensure that they are kept up to date with any changes new regulations
• Advise clients regarding appropriate audit, accounting and other systems and procedures.
• Assist clients with matters relating to maintaining FSA Authorisation including supplying financial information and forecasts.

General Industry Snr Audit Manager – London (to £75,000)

• Planning, budgeting, fieldwork and completion of Audits
• Complying with Institute and government legislation when carrying out Audit assignments
• Supervising 2-3 members of staff on Audit assignments
• Managing workloads across the team to ensure all tasks are completed according to internal deadlines and budgets set by the Partners
• Liaising with clients and partners to ensure that information is received in sufficient time to prepare for Audits
• Managing Work In Progress and keeping projects on time and within budget
• Investigating any client audit issues & concerns, and providing recommendations
• Identifying opportunities for additional work, and cross selling where appropriate


To be considered for either of the roles, you should be a Qualified ACA or ACCA Audit Manager from a small to medium sized practice with expertise in Financial Service sector clients or wider industry sector businesses. Staff supervision, client auditing, management of WIP, group audits & consultations, and knowledge of IFRS and FSA compliance training are all key requirements. You should possess excellent prioritising skills, be comfortable communicating up to Director level and be able to adhere to strict cost and work deadlines.

On offer are base salaries up to £85,000 and £75,000 respectively and corporate benefits to include bonus, holidays, company pension and healthcare.
