Senior Brand Manager – Bedfordshire – up to £60k
Our client has been manufacturing in the Uk for over 100 years. It is still run as an independent family owned business that is proud of its strong ethics around natural nutrition, sustainability and sourcing. Now combined with another leading brand, their joint turnover is over £125m, with 650 employees. They are currently looking for a Senior Brand Manager to play a key part in the development of their two brands.
As Senior Brand Manager you will develop a brand strategy and implement a consumer activity calendar that will help drive sustained, long-term profitable growth, and meet the penetration, value and profit growth targets of the brands in the UK. You will also be responsible for excellent execution of the marketing plan, making every penny count for the consumer. Most importantly, you will need to have a passion for food and an affinity for the types of product we make. As Senior Brand Manager you will be a member of the Marketing & R&D department reporting into the Head of Brand. You will have 1 direct report, in addition to insight and research support.
Your responsibilities will be to lead business, brand and consumer insights using market & consumer data and research, lead development and execution of a rolling 3 year calendar of activity and innovation, project manage and ensure the successful launch of line extension NPD, and work with the R&D team on successful development of a pipeline of product improvement and NPD that will deliver an advantaged portfolio of products. You will also manage part of the marketing budget, setting measurable objectives, delivering ROI analysis and applying learning to future activity. You will work with the marketing team and ad agencies on ATL and BTL campaigns to develop creative solutions and ensure efficient use of the A&P money.
To be successful in your application, you will need a degree level qualification or equivalent (preferably 2:1 or above) and FMCG consumer marketing experience of development of consumer and business based insight, development of brand strategy, plans and activity calendars, leading and briefing R&D teams to develop improved or new products / packaging, leadership of design development, on-line activity, PR, promotions and market research, leading dialogues with sales and category management teams on development of plans that have driven significant account growth, leadership of agency teams and cross functional teams, demonstrative analytical curiousity paired with instinctive thinking about consumers and organisational alignment around a set of marketing proposals, inspiring excellent execution.
