Senior Buyer
Telford - Midlands (West)
The role will be managing the end to end procurement process for the purchase of all housing re-furbishment sub contracts services. This will include all exterior and interior fixtures and fittings and labour services.
Identifying and constructing material agreements that deliver cost reductions, service improvements and mitigate risk to the business.
Manage end to end procurement process ensuring compliance with business policies and procedures and ensuring all deadlines are met.
Manage the of delivery savings in line with targets.
Manage the performance of suppliers to deliver continuous improvement in terms of lower costs, better value, improved service, lower risk.
Develop and maintain market management plans for key categories of spend maximising ability to attain Cost Leadership.
Input into the development of purchasing plans including the identification of low cost country sourcing initiatives.
Manage internal business relationships to gain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements.
Manage and support internal stakeholders in understanding and developing procurement strategy and procedures.
What they are looking for:
Procurement or commercial experience in construction, property maintenance or related field
Experience of purchasing subcontracts for Re-furbishment of housing projects
Minimum 3 years purchasing experience
Experience of housing maintenance services
Understanding of contractual & legal terms
Relevant product and subcontract market knowledge
Tender and contract procurement practice and processes
Knowledge of relevant forms of subcontract
Supply Chain principles, procedures and techniques
Least end cost is their focus
