Senior Database Manager
Central London - London
An experienced Database Manager needed for a multiple award-winning, e-CRM agency with an international client base in central London. This is a unique opportunity to join a fantastic team in a small, sociable and down to earth agency dealing with top notch clients. The role involves managing live email data for clients within the travel, retail and pharmaceutical industries.
Although not essential, a good commercial understanding of using consumer data to gain insight and drive value to the clients bottom line will give you an edge, as will knowledge of email marketing systems. You will need excellent database and analytical skills. The experience you have gained to date should enable you to add immediate value to existing projects and to the team. You will be working within a small data team you’ll be responsible for the day to day management of live email marketing databases for a selection of clients. You will set up and maintain automated processes to update and refresh databases using data from external suppliers. Maintaining accurate log shipping of live database to reporting server. Database quality control, implementing fixes and derived variables. Managed triggered email performance reports using DTS/SSIS.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in T-SQL scripting, DB architecture working with databases of over 9 million individuals and transactional data with over 300m rows. Working knowledge of DTS/SSIS, scheduling and maintaining critical jobs. You will have 4 years experience working with transactional databases in SQL server 2000/2005.
