Senior Design Architect/Urban Designer

An opportunity to work for a large well-respected International Consultancy ranked as one of the leading Architectural, Engineering, Project and Construction Management Firms in the world and with a strong presence across the Middle East.
Working out of their Abu Dhabi office they are seeking a high-calibre designer to assist in the conceptual and schematic design of internationally recognised mega projects across the region. This role will play an integral component within the Urban Design team within their Strategy, Planning and Urban Development Division.
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate:
• A proven track record in the preparation of architectural and urban design drawings for master planning mega projects
• Well established analytical and graphic presentation skills and the ability to communicate concepts through a variety of computer modeling, illustration, diagrams and freehand drawings. Have experience within the planning of site, landscape, transportation and infrastructure design and the integration of contemporary sustainable design concepts
• The ability to develop Development Control Regulations (DCR) and Urban Design Guidelines (UDG) as well as ensure plans created in accordance with planning and subdivision codes and standards
• Preparation of reports, project documentation, presentation drawings and calculations
Applications can only be considered from candidates with either a BA in Architecture or MA in Urban Design, with a minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience of which at least 2 years have been in the Gulf region. A proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop and 3D Max or Sketchup is essential, with additional experience in the use of GIS software a distinct advantage
