Senior Hardware Engineer

Senior Hardware Engineer
My client designs and manufactures portable electrical test equipment to perform electrical measurements for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and commissioning across the world. They have manufacturing plants across Europe and the United States and are further expanding with a new office in central Kent.

Within that expansion, they are currently looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer to contribute to/and lead the design and development of their electronic hardware product base.
You will be responsible for the management of the Hardware Engineers, including both project management as well as mentoring and adhering to compliance procedures.
Your responsibilities will include;
-Management of Hardware Engineers
-Interpreting design/ product requirements
-Lead hardware design and work closely with firmware and mechanical engineers
-Supervise and carry out electronic circuit board design - including simulation and testing
-Supervise and carry out PCB layout
-Supervise bill of materials and compile costing
-Prepare and present designs to other members of the design team and project stakeholders
Your Background
-1st of 2nd class degree minimum from Electronics Engineering or similar
-At least 5 years' experience in design or electronics or similar
-Knowledge of quality and design standards (ISO 90001, IEC 61010)
-Skilled with hardware system architecture of new designs
-Ability to understand and interpret requirements from customer specifications
-Have exceptional communication skills - written through to presentations
