Senior Innovation Manager

We are now looking to appoint a Senior Innovation Manager that will be instrumental in ensuring that we continue to lead the market when it comes to innovation.

This challenging role has project management, leadership and communication at its centre. You will be responsible for managing two innovation teams that work on a branded spreads portfolio worth over £190M, ensuring the overall delivery of the branded development programme for Clover, Utterly Butterly, Country Life and Vitalite in line with Dairy Crest strategy and objectives. You will contribute to the definition and implementation of the long-term NPD strategy and provide an innovative source for NPD ideas and solutions for route to market that will drive profitable growth of the Dairy Crest spreads business. Team empowerment will be vital to the roles success and you will work closely with brand / category marketing teams and other group functions to ensure that spreads innovation meets and exceeds the needs of the market.

We are looking for a very high calibre NPD professional that can embrace the challenge and realise the potential of the role. The successful candidate will possess a demonstrable seven year innovation growth track record, ideally gained within a branded food environment, coupled with further level qualifications in a food related subject and exceptional leadership, communication and organisational skills. A high level of commercial acumen is required in conjunction with the ability to inspire and motivate successful teams to achieve outstanding results.

Although based in Shropshire, the site where the role is based is also accessible from certain parts of North Wales, parts of Cheshire and the West Midlands. This is a multi-site role that requires the flexibility to travel and the salary and benefits package will reflect the significant responsibilities of the role.
