Java Developers/ Consultants - Contract or Perm

My client, an Ecommerce platform provider ranked as one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies, is looking for outstanding Java Developers to be based from their UK offices.
As experienced Java Developers within the Professional Services team, the successful candidates will be working directly with the client’s customers to design, develop and deliver world class ecommerce solutions built upon their enterprise ecommerce platform. The holders of these roles will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including planning, technical design, construction, peer reviews, documentation, testing and deployment.
The ideal candidates will be passionate about technology with an expertise in their field that surpasses the average, and experience in a consultative role. They will also be action-oriented, customer focused and flexible, with exceptional communication skills. They will have an in-depth knowledge and experience of Java/J2EE web application development, Java application servers (Tomcat, WebSphere etc), an industry recognized RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server etc) and version control systems (SVN, Visual SourceSafe etc) as well as recent, relevant experience working within frameworks such as Spring, Swing, Hibernate or Eclipse.
These roles will initially be based from a client site in London, and then on projects as required on client sites across the UK and Europe. For this reason, applicants MUST be UK resident and hold a EU passport as well as be willing to travel regularly working from client sites for up to 3 months at a time. Tier 1 visas will NOT be sufficient as they do not allow free travel around Europe.
Excellent written and spoken English is essential and any further European languages would be advantageous.
