Senior Procurement Manager

Responsible and accountable for negotiating and driving performance of current and new supply contracts for Market Data Category in order to provide internal customers with effective services that meet agreed service standards and support business unit strategies. Central to the role is the provision of procurement support for the supply of data, (credit scoring and marketing data), IT systems and professional services relating to credit scoring and fraud detection which support internal client’s strategy on lending decisions in both a Consumer and Commercial environment, across product portfolios. The role supports the direction for Strategic supplier relationships that has with its credit bureau and its marketing providers
Build and manage senior level relationships internally and with suppliers against a backdrop of integration of the supply base, and an over domination of products and services some of which are from a single source
Leverage significant savings within the category through continued evaluation of the service delivery model (Make/Buy) and anticipating the business demand for new products.
Promote common working and understanding of data supply and usage across the Group to deliver maximum cost savings from suppliers on future business improvement or regulatory change initiatives
Candidates should ideally have category experience, stakeholder management at both a strategic and operational level, commercial aptitude and lead negotiation experience, strong influencing skills, able to identify problems or opportunities, design solutions, sell, project plan and deliver.

Lead, develop and implement “Market Data” sourcing strategies that support Group wide and local business unit strategies to agreed timetable and cost/benefit estimate:
Provide market/category expenditure analysis and procurement related support to all functions involved in the purchase of products/services supporting decisions across the customer lifecycle from acquisition to collection
Re-negotiate commercial and contractual terms with existing suppliers
Compose and negotiate supply agreements with new suppliers to ensure best in class cost, delivery and performance for drawing upon templates and legal expertise as required.
Actively seek out and evaluate potential alternative suppliers to ensure financially sound, technically competent and strategically aligned to Mitigate all supply continuity risks
Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal customers up to MD level and suppliers
Identify savings with BU’s through re-engineering of processes evaluating make/buy decisions or negotiate existing supplier fees down across the group for credit and marketing systems
Ensure supply agreements comply with purchasing policies and procedures, ethical practices, corporate social responsibilities and adherence to relevant laws and regulation
Manage and develop the contract structure and governance process with key suppliers and stakeholder
