Senior Project Manager - Banking Services - Northe

Senior Project Manager - Banking Services, Northern Europe - PMP, Masters in Project Management, PRINCE2, MSP, Banking/Finance, Banking Transformation, Business Transformation, Core Banking, ICT solutions delivery reporting to the Regional Manager for Northern Europe for a major, global IT and Business Solutions provider to deliver multiple projects to a major global Tier 1 & 2 banks. The Senior Project Manager will; manage external client and third party relationships; work closely with a variety of internal divisions managing stakeholders and senior managers; be delivering full life cycle solutions from initiation-planning-execution-closure; managing large teams of IT & Business resources based onsite, offshore as well as remotely, using internal, end client and third party resources. The successful candidate will therefore demonstrate exceptional commercial, internal and external client relationship management experience; possess excellent communication and reporting abilities; and have the ability and proven track record to manage a number of different internal and external divisions/parties. You will be responsible for the management of the relationship, sponsors, users, key stakeholders as well as third party suppliers and partners. The end clients are retail & wholesale banks, so whilst it is important to have a background in IT solutions delivery, it is also important to have the banking experience. You will have worked for major solutions providers and have banking experience. You will need to have an excellent track record within project management, demonstrating the full life cycle of software solutions delivery, which is not restricted to rollouts but managing the delivery from initiation-planning-execution-closure. You will have a thorough knowledge of formal project management methods, processes, procedures, techniques and tools initiation-planning-execution-closure, Earned Value, Critical Path, MS Project, different stages of planning, risk & issue assessment, requirements analysis, estimating & costing, business benefit realisation, business case ownership, project controls change, communication, configuration, roles & responsibilities, technical team management. On top of this, you will need to have the expertise and passion/drive to deliver, not just to talk about the strategy. Salary expectations are negotiable. The location is London, but this role will require a lot of travel across the Northern European region. Scandinavian languages would be an advantage.
