Senior Project Manager - SC Cleared
Hampshire - South Central / Coast
YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE A MINIMUM SC CLEARANCE
The key responsibilities of the role will include:
Project budget management – delivery of profit and cash flow generally using earned value management.
Project team management, including engineers, contractors and sub-contractors.
Delivery of the technical solution to the appropriate quality level.
Claim & change management.
Risk management.
Detailed project planning, tracking and regular reporting.
Detailed cost planning and selling project management capability as part bid teams.
In all cases total responsibility for delivery of profit, cash flow, technical, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction targets.
Education:
• You should have achieved a relevant technical degree (e.g. Electronic Engineering) to a high standard (1st or 2nd class).
• A recognised Project Management qualification would be highly desirable (e.g. PRINCE2 / APMP)
• Some formal business or commercial training would also be of distinct advantage (e.g. MBA).
Experience:
• You should have an extremely high level of experience and knowledge of project management methods, having successfully managed a significant number of high-value, high-risk projects.
• You should be fully competent within the areas of risk management, standards, approvals, certifications and testing.
• You should have a proven background within product development, ideally within Software, Hardware, Firmware or Systems domains. Your technical expertise will be just as important as your project management ability.
• The ideal candidate will have experience of new product introduction and volume production, along with bid construction and negotiation.
