SENIOR PROJECTS DIRECTOR

Our client is a blue-chip construction company currently engaged in numerous multi-billion-dollar residential and commercial construction projects. They require a high-profile person to fill the role of senior projects director.
Applicants should have at least 20 years of experience in civil construction, at least eight of which should be as a senior manager/director in project management.
A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required, while a higher degree in construction or project management would be an asset.
The role:
- Oversees senior managers and managers working on client engagements within the practice
- Develops and meets revenue and other financial goals
- Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilisation across the practice
- Provides leadership and guidance in all aspects of the sales cycle
- Manages business development on a strategic level
- Develops, implements and maintains sound business practices
- Project accounting
- Consolidates and analyses profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilisation across the practice
- Helps to create pipeline forecasts and broad-based financial picture
- Ensures practice meets or exceeds budgeted financial objectives, including revenue and margin
- Achieves excellence in all areas of business
- Client management
- Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternatives
- Continually defines ways to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
- Manages the development of project managers and senior managers
- Lends expertise to internal teams and task forces
