Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

The QA team are expected to develop both manual and automated test packs. Automated testing is required for functionality, regression and performance testing. This automation is carried out mainly in Quick Test Pro, but the tool suite also includes LoadRunner and Selenium. The development teams employ Cruise Control to facilitate continuous integration and knowledge of the interface between Cruise Control and QTP would be a definite advantage.
The development teams in EMEA generally consist of internal resources in key roles, augmented by specialist resources from our vendor partners. One of these key roles is the Quality Assurance Engineer. While these QAEs work in disparate teams, developing separate systems, we are looking for them all to follow common practices and procedures.
As a member of a development team the senior QAE will work with vendor supplied QA resource and will be responsible for ensuring that each delivery is of the highest quality. To do this they must ensure that correct QA practices are followed and that other aspects of the engineering approach are optimised to allow the QAEs to ensure quality deliveries.
All members of the QA team are expected to work together to continually develop and enhance best practices in all aspects of the development process. The ultimate aim is to produce repeatable, high quality deliveries. This encompasses policies, processes, tools and techniques and the team will constantly be asked to innovate in all areas of Quality Assurance.
