Reports to the Managing Director

This company has recently been acquired by a major international business but remains an autonomous, high-growth and entrepreneurial stand-alone unit.

They have a unique Internet of Things IoT product that is revolutionising how supply chains operate. They have a growing pipeline of opportunities across multiple industry sectors and wish to hire an ambitious individual to lead the sales activities and build a sales team. This role will suit an individual who is looking for a step-up in their career to building and managing a sales team.

They are a focussed, entrepreneurial team with huge growth and commercial opportunities ahead of them.

Responsibilities
• Manage all new business sales and commercial activity.
• Ensure collateral and messages are consistent and effective for the target audience.
• Assist in the development and production of sales collateral.
• Research, prospect and develop new clients for across all product categories
• React to and develop inbound sales enquiries
• Accurately report and document sales activity on CRM and internal tracking documents
• Manage entire sales cycle through to contract signing and hand-over to the Implementation team.
• Account manage the commercial side of client relationships to maximise the long-term business potential of each account.
• Manage negotiations and the production of commercial and contractual documentation
• Deliver to revenue, margin and volume targets
• Recruitment and development of additional sales people.
• Attend conferences and exhibitions as required.

Experience and Qualifications
• Previous experience selling to senior decision makers in the logistics, supply chain or field service sector.
• A strong understanding of selling a high value business product or service into the sectors above.
• Some experience of recruiting, training and managing sales people would be useful but not mandatory.
• A successful track record to achieving sales targets
• Organised and process driven approach to selling.
• Strong written, verbal and listening skills.
• A good communicator, able to gather and share information across a number of internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to coordinate resources to successfully execute complex sales processes.
• Broad understanding of technology and able to articulate how it brings business benefit.
• Willing to travel
• Driving license and car owner.
