Senior Solutions Architect. This is the ideal role for a senior technologist that wants to stay hands on but also begin to develop their management skills.
Our client is a global player in financial services. They have an enormously complex mix of legacy and state of the art technologies and applications running concurrently. The senior solutions architect will be responsible for multi-million pound software solutions projects including the replacement and upgrade of major mission critical systems. The Senior Solution Architect must be able to operate at a strategic level, consulting with enterprise architects and senior business stakeholders, they must also be able to work with teams of developers. Our client uses local on off shore development facilities, multiple third party suppliers and the Senior Solution Architect must have highly developed communications skills to deal with the complex delivery model. This would be the ideal stepping stone for an individual hoping to become the head of a corporate IT department, CIO or similar.
