Senior Treasury Finance Manager

Due to internal restructuring, an exciting, challenging and high profile role has become available within the group corporate treasury team of a major financial services organisation.

The role sits within the volatility management team, whose primary responsibility is mitigating P&L volatility arising from IFRS requirements by deploying various mitigating accounting solutions including hedge accounting. The team is also responsible for providing technical hedge accounting advice on new products and complex transactions. The Senior Manager will manages a small team responsible for the IFRS fair value and hedge accounting adjustments and for managing banking book volatility, as well as overseeing an intensive BAU process whilst also structuring the overall approach of the business to managing banking book volatility. The Senior Manager is also a key advisor for providing advice on the accounting of new products and complex structures transacted the Group.

To be considered for this position, you will be a qualified Accountant with a strong knowledge of IAS39 Accounting principles. You will need strong financial control experience and in-depth knowledge of banking products. Other key factors will include an ability to manage small teams in an intense and close working environment, the ability to explain complex subjects to non-specialists and the capacity to continually raise, challenge and resolve issues as they arise
