My client is one of the UK’s largest private banks offering Private Banking and Financial Planning services to high net worth clients with offices in Canary Wharf, London. We are looking to recruit a Service Delivery & Application Manager on a permanent basis.

Salary: £55k – £65k
Benefits: e.g. car allowance or London allowance

Purpose of Role
As a Senior Service & Applications Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of excellent service for a range of core business applications in the UK Private Bank segment. This will include the management of a team of technical specialists delivering second level application support to maintain system availability targets and deliver supplementary services as documented in the Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Core Accountabilities
• Analyse and resolve application/ system related operational issues including major incident management.
• Maintain all formal controls, documents and records to auditable levels and in compliance with current procedures and standards.
• Effectively provide Service Acceptance measurement and sign off for area of responsibility
• Proactively work to sponsor and drive service improvement initiatives for owned services to enhance customer experience and reduce service issues going forward.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Direct and create a high performing team delivering excellent customer service.
• Manage staff personal development including performance reviews and performance management.
• Planning and management of the service to ensure cost effective utilisation of resources.

Role Requirements
• Practical experience in managing a specialist Application Support team in a senior IT Service Delivery role. Proven track record of service delivery in a complex IT environment
• ITIL Service Management or equivalent
• Preferably worked in the Financial Services industry - strong financial systems (front-office/ back-office) knowledge is desirable

1. Experience as a Service Delivery Manager - have managed day to day delivery of Business Application Services to demanding SLAs
2. Experience as a Service Support Manager - have managed team(s) of 1st and 2nd level Applications Support Staff teams
3. Experience in Service Management best practices, qualified in ITIL, have actively and continuously improved the performance of service teams
4. Good Man Manager who leads, directs and manages staff and their performance with a firm hand and creates a 'can do will do' attitude
5. Has worked in a high pressure, complex, constantly changing business critical environments, demanding high levels of service
