The Client is a major 3PL provider of dedicated services to the retail and broader fmcg sectors. They have a passion for excellence and continuous improvement, demonstrated by their reputation for innovation, customer service and further value added solutions. The recent implementation of a major e-commerce account for a demanding retailer within fashion, has dictated the early appointment of a proven warehouse professional to manage and grow the business.

Reporting to a senior Director and with frequent daily links to the customer and internal colleagues, the SGM will have specific responsibility for the tactical and strategic management of a major facility with high daily SKU levels. He/she will ensure for the effective use of all resources – both people and financial whilst managing challenging KPIs. This is a clear leadership and team building role, with the ability to ensure for harmonious employee relations in a non-unionised site, encompassing considerable numbers of employees.

A current knowledge of e-fulfilment is essential, as is a strong knowledge of the fashion sector. Already a proven ‘big shed’ general manager, your experience will have included 3PL warehousing. Systems literate and credible, you will have a passion for continuous improvement and for outstanding customer service. Certainly of graduate calibre, you will possess excellent numeracy and literacy skills, coupled to inspirational leadership, integrity and presence.
