This UK software product vendor has achieved significant technical and commercial success. They are well financed and growing their revenues fast. They have an impressive list of high profile clients and significant ambitions to grow rapidly, expand overseas and become a leader in what is a very new market.
A key part of their planning is to hire a Director of Software Engineering or CTO who can ensure high quality output from the engineering and development group, lead technical vision and implement new methods and work practices to improve the productivity of the team.
Responsibilities:
The role will be to lead a variety of product development initiatives using both company staff and off-shore resources ensuring delivery to time, quality and budget.
You will be directly responsible for leading a team of talented software engineers and work with senior directors of the business translating product road-maps into market ready products.
There will also be a requirement for this individual to provide leadership on the overall product road map ensuring product releases meet market and customer needs. For the right candidate there will be the opportunity to have a significant input into overall technical and product strategy.
Skills and Experience:
You will have proven experience of leading complex software product developments and have a solid understanding of the underlying software technology. Knowledge of JAVA would be very beneficial.
You will have the organisational skills to manage multiple activities in parallel and the leadership qualities to get the best possible productivity out of the team. A previous technical background will be a benefit.
You will have ideally gained your experience within the Analytics, SaaS, CRM or E-Commerce area’s and be familiar with Web 2.0 and related environments. Additional experience gained in early stage companies would be an advantage.
You must be a UK / EU National or already be resident in the UK and have a current Work Permit.
