Our client is a well respected and highly successful communication and information solutions company who operate within a clear market niche. Their business is currently expanding and they are planning significant growth.
The Role
*To be the overall design authority for mobile applications software architecture
*To be responsible for assessing third party software and hardware technologies that will enhance the current mobile platform
*To be responsible for providing future technology roadmaps
*To lead a small team of specialist development engineers
*To provide thought leadership to internal and external application developers
*To take overall responsibility for systems integration
The Person
*Strong technical background in mobile communications technology
*Proven ability to engage at both an engineering and business/commercial level
*Awareness of emerging technologies and their potential impact on the current architecture
*Good understanding of Microsoft N-Tier architecture and Microsoft NLB
*Knowledge of J2EE, JMS, Java Scripting, BEA, Web Logic
*Knowledge of web services and HTTP(S), SSL, SOAP, XML
*Experience of wireless/mobile technologies and networks such as 3g, GPRS, WiFi etc
