Systems Engineering & Programme Management consultancy that meets the demand for engineering and technical support in defence and commercial organisations that develop high value complex systems.
We provide Enterprise and System Engineering consultancy to parent company, MoD and other industry clients.

Primary Purpose of the Role
We are looking for experienced Solution Architects who will deliver strategic business, information and technology service architectures.

Principle Relationships
Individuals will have experience of managing customer relationships, leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams and acting as part of the team, when required.

Key Tasks

You will be responsible for the technical feasibility and cohesiveness of overall solutions, as well as identifying, assessing and communicating all technical risks.
You will champion the definition and governance of the solution architecture for both bid and delivery programmes.
You will advise client teams on the use of Enterprise Architecture (EA) frameworks (e.g. IAF, TOGAF, MODAF) and where appropriate provide practical application of one or more EA frameworks.
You will advise client teams on the use of Open Architecture, Service Orientated Architecture (inc Enterprise Service Buses).
You will produce solution specification, technical design, and test documentation.
You may be required to take the design authority for the overall technical solution (e.g. infrastructure, application and data architecture).

Technical and Professional Skills
We are interested in applicants who have rounded architectural experience across all aspects of enterprise change programmes in terms of Information Systems and Information Technology strategy.

Education and Qualifications
Applicants should typically have a degree in an engineering related discipline, however alternative related equivalent qualifications and practical experience will always be considered.

Personality / Behaviours
Alongside your technical background, you will exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, personal drive, organisational ability, a desire and ability to get the job done, within a multi-disciplined team environment.

Note: As a Consultant you will be expected to work at client sites within the UK (if desired, working from client sites abroad may also be possible).
