My client is a market leader in high level, market defining, conferences and knowledge solutions specialising in events and research relating to new and emerging technology and its impact on people and the built environment. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced event business development executive, preferably living in the local area, who can take on and grow our client base for an expanding portfolio of national and international events. Reporting to the Managing Director this is a full time role.

Responsibilities:
•Responsible for proactively generating new business by sourcing new business leads and working closely with existing stakeholders
•Managing your portfolio through budget management, effective implementation of the sales strategy while working closely with other team members who have existing sponsorship client responsibilities
•Develop and maintain a growing pool of clients
•Cross-product selling with the aim to develop annual agreements with new clients and identifying opportunities for other companies within the group

Skills required:
•Customer focused and committed to delivering high quality events
•You must have a strong background within a sponsorship sales environment, ideally within technology and the office workspace
•Must have a proven track record of B2B sales experience, through both direct and telephone sales
•Able to establish credibility quickly and be confident in dealing with senior level business people and be skilled in identifying company's needs and converting them into committed clients
•A self-starting, proactive individual with a professional approach to sales
•Ability to manage your time effectively, to communicate at all levels and the desire to exceed set targets
•Needs to be a team player
•Ambitious and committed to achieving success
