Strategic Cost Manager
City of London - London
An international contractor is currently looking for a Strategic Cost Manager to be based in London Town. The company have over 100 years of past experience, have won many industry awards and are considered a world class contractor.
You will be reporting to the Technical Services Director and can expect to advise on benchmarking, work closely with supply chain to develop continuous improvement plans, carry out Cost analysis/planning advise alternatives, assist in checking design work, prepare tender forms and management papers, liaise with subcontractors and carry out any other reasonable tasks required by the line manager.
In terms of your attitude and behaviour; you must be a results driven individual capable of managing professional relationships and be prepared to coach and mentor other less senior members of staff. Innovation, business intelligence and the desire to continuously improve your personal development will rank highly within your work ethic.
Successful candidates will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or a suitable equivalent; you will also be MRICS qualified, hold a valid CSCS card and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. Excellent communication skills are essential and the ability to work under pressure is paramount!
