This major consulting firm places emphasis on developing strategy that is deliverable. Their strategy team (part of their Transformation and Strategy Practice) supports their clients to address their most pressing strategic challenges - their emphasis is on implementable strategy, not report writing. They set up for real change by translating insight into action - by mobilizing client organizations, identifying the key change levers and enabling transformational change.
The role will involve design and development of the ‘front end’ of major transformation / change programmes. This will involve “Analysis & Design” projects, which use a proven process to prepare an organisation for a large transformation programme typically over an 8-10 week period – covering the whole enterprise or particular processes / functions. In addition, strategy projects typically lasting 2-6 months, where there is a need for analysis over a longer timescale.
As part of this primary consulting team, candidates will be working at the CxO level on high impact, enterprise wide issues, working in partnership with the client and with consultants from other consulting areas.
Successful candidates will have good academics, and a strong strategic and analytical profile derived from a successful track record of project delivery and either internal or external consulting gained from working for a strategy boutique; large consultancy or blue chip. Relevant areas include:
• Customer segmentation
• Activity analysis/process re-engineering
• Activity costing
• Industry structure, market mapping and competitor analysis
More senior candidates will be expected to have experience of business development and sales.
As typical of consulting engagements full mobility is required.
