The company are a major International player in a number of areas including defence, national security and commercial. They are a trusted partner and major supplier to the Ministry of Defence and their recent success in bidding for a major project has led to their current vacancy for a Sub-Contract Manager.

Responsibilities of the Sub-Contract Manager:
+ Lead all routine and non-routine Subcontract and Supply Chain processes
+ Create strategic Acquisition / Management plans for the Supply Chain
+ Build and manage key relationships with subcontract partners
+ Conduct due diligence exercises on business arrangements
+ Negotiate all supplier / subcontract agreements

Skills and Experience required for the Sub-Contract Manger role:
+ Experience as lead negotiator on complex, multi-million pound sub-contracts within the UK defence industry
+ Excellent team leadership skills and experience
+ Degree level education or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline
+ Extensive subcontract management experience
+ Up-to-date and extensive employment law knowledge
+ Experience managing PFI Contracts
+ CIPS membership and 6Sigma knowledge would be beneficial

Due to the nature of the Sub-Contract Manager role, a current SC security clearance of the ability to obtain this clearance will be required.
