Supply Chain Manager-Logistics and Distribution

This leading retail business is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join an expanding team. This is a key appointment in the distribution network that will drive consolidation and opportunties to improve efficiency.
You will be tasked to develop and deliver business opportunties in the overall Distribution netwrok by,
- management and leadership of the team to maximise their potential, and drive efficiency.
- work with logistics, trading and operations to ensure smooth execution of new business opportunities.
- drive new intiatives through identification, devlopment and implementation of consolidation and backhaul opportunities with suppliers and other businesses to minimize environmental impact.
- manage and negotiate with freight suppliers to identify opportuntities for the business, and optimise cost benefits.
The successful candidate with have previous retail supply chain experience within food, or fmcg. You must have excellent communication skills coupled with a proven track record in commercial negotiations. A background in management coupled with an extensive knowledge of distribution and logistics are essential.
