System/Network Architect
Our client is a world leader in communications, data management and optics and supplies products to customers in the defence sector on an international scale. Our client is currently seeking a System/Network Architect to develop architectures for complex networked military systems.
System/Network Architect responsibilities:
+ Develop innovative systems architectures supporting our client in the supply of Networked Enabled Capability to the MOD
+ Analyse and identity suitable choices of protocols for the control and management of heterogeneous netorked RF systems across the HF/VHF/UHF/SHF/EHF bands
+ Identification and selection of candidate architectures across a range of communications networking and RF technologies
+ Support bid preparations and business development in this area
+ Provide technical briefings and presentations to internal management and external customers
System/Network Architect experience required:
+ Strong Knowledge base within Communications and Networking Systems and or in complex Military systems architectures
+ Experience in TCP/IP protocol stack and associated protocols (SNMP, SMTP, UDP) and routing protocols such as OSPF and/or expertise in HTML, UML, XML, CORBA and middleware for distributed processing or alternatively in military networks Combat Systems or tactical radio networking modern data links e.g. Link 16
+ Proven track record in the design of complex system architectures containing a significant communications /networking element
A salary of £50-60,000 is accompanied by a competitive salary.
